5G In India: 5G spectrum auction completed, government will get 1.5 lakh crore rupees, know when will 5G service start?
Prior to the auction, the Ministry of Communications had framed certain parameters regarding infrastructure etc. to make full use of the potential of 5G spectrum and on the basis of these standards, companies were asked to submit claims.
5G Service In India: From July 26, the work of auctioning the spectrum of 5G was going on under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications. In this, 4 major companies were selected on the basis of parameters. Today on Monday this auction was completed and the government got more success than expected. The government has got a total revenue of Rs 1,50,173 crore from this spectrum auction.
Prior to the auction, the Ministry of Communications had framed certain parameters on infrastructure etc. to make full use of the potential of 5G spectrum and asked companies to submit claims based on these parameters. Of the companies that had submitted their bids to participate in the auction of 5G spectrum, only 4 companies were shortlisted by the ministry. These companies include Reliance Jio, Adani Communications, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone.
How much did the government earn from the auction
The government got Rs 212 crore from Adani Communications from the auction of 5G spectrum which lasted for 7 days. Rs 43084 crore was received from Bharti Airtel Group, Rs 88078 crore was received from Reliance Jio and Rs 18799 crore was received from Vodafone. These payment companies will pay in fixed installments.
Spectrum breakup given to companies
At present, the ministry has sold only 51,236 MHz of spectrum out of 72,098 MHz. Adani Data Network Limited has bought 400 MHz of 5G spectrum, in millimeter-wave. Vodafone-Idea Limited has purchased 6228 MHz (in 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2500 MHz, 3300 MHz & 26 GHz). Bharti Airtel has bought 19,867 MHz (in 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 3300 MHz & 26 GHz). Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited has bought 24,740 MHz (in 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, 3300 MHz & 26 GHz) 5G spectrum.

Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told ABP News that by the end of October, companies will install the necessary infrastructure of their towers etc. and soon after that i.e. in November, 5G will start in the country. Initially 5G will be launched in select cities. But the number of cities will increase rapidly and in the next two and a half years, the common man will be able to use 5G across the country.
What is the specialty of 5G
Eagerly waiting for 5G internet service in the country. Actually 5G internet service is about 10 times faster than the current 4G. Right now the video which is downloaded in an hour from 4G will be downloaded in just 50 seconds from 5G.
We will be better than America, China, Japan!
Ashwini Vaishnaw said that in 5G we will be a little better than the world level and in 6G we have to take the lead. This is the instruction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji to us, which we will fulfill. But at the same time 4G also has to do better. By June-July next year, India’s 5G infrastructure will achieve the best level in the world.
